This is a collection of pictures from the By-Election Nomination Day for P44 - Permatang Pauh Constituency on 16/08/08.

Whether the crowd was 10,000 as the MSM reported or 100,000 as the alternative media insists, the fact was that if the by-election had been held last Saturday and all the crowd were the eligible voters, there would have been only 1 winner - Anwar. By a mile! Take it from one who was there. The people told the BN what they thought of them, in their face. No holds barred indeed.

According to a friend who will be voting, his Chinese sources have quoted that all bets are off for anything less than a 20,000 majority for Anwar. Such is the sentiment at the ground level.

Permatang Pauh come 26 August may well be the turning point for the nation - one way or the other. Let's pray that common sense prevails and that the only victors will be peace, justice and harmony.
